Prime Minister Narendra Modi began a three-nation tour of Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman, focusing on strengthening economic, trade, and investment relations. During his visit, India and Oman formalized approval for a Free Trade Agreement (CEPA), aiming to deepen bilateral commerce and joint ventures, which currently number over 6,000 and contribute $7.5 billion to Oman’s economy. India is Jordan’s third-largest trading partner ($2.8B), and the second-largest for Ethiopia ($550M) highlighting opportunities for expanding India’s footprint in West Asia and Africa.
