Daily Current Affairs / Passport Verification Records Now Accessible on DigiLocker for Citizens’ Convenience and Security

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), has enabled Passport Verification Records (PVR) on the DigiLocker platform. DigiLocker, a secure cloud-based platform under the Digital India Programme, allows citizens to issue, store, share, and verify digital documents. This integration enables seamless, paperless, and tamper-proof access to PVRs, enhancing convenience for travel, employment, and compliance while promoting secure, citizen-centric, and environmentally responsible governance.
