Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award for August 2023 for his exceptional showing in ODIs against Afghanistan and Nepal.
Babar won the honour for the 3rd time in his career as the World No. 1 batter continued to dominate the 50-over format of the game.
Babar Azam was part of the 3-man shortlist for the award along with his teammate Shadab Khan and West Indies big-hitter Nicholas Pooran and he beat them both for the award.
