NITI Aayog released a comprehensive report titled ‘Internationalisation of Higher Education in India: Prospects, Potential, and Policy Recommendations’, highlighting strategies to position India as a global education hub by 2047. The report, based on surveys of 160 HEIs and inputs from global experts, outlines 22 policy recommendations, 76 action pathways, and 125 success indicators. It emphasizes student and faculty mobility, international collaborations, branch campuses, and leveraging NEP 2020 to attract one lakh international students by 2030.
