The National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA), a Mission Mode Project under Digital India, is rapidly modernising India’s legislative ecosystem by enabling paperless lawmaking. So far, 28 State and UT Legislatures have signed MoUs, with 20 already operating as fully digital Houses. NeVA’s unified “One Nation, One Application” platform is supported by extensive ICT infrastructure, training and NeVA SeVA Kendras. With AI/ML tools like Bhashini offering real-time translation and speech-to-text features, the system boosts inclusivity, transparency and efficiency, promoting standardised digital governance nationwide.
