Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has been sworn in as Namibia’s first woman president, succeeding Nangolo Mbumba. She won 58% of the vote in the November elections.
Alongside Nandi-Ndaitwah's inauguration, Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila was elected as Namibia’s first female speaker of parliament, marking a significant step for women's leadership in the country.
