The city topped in parameters like joy, community bonding, lifestyle, and street food culture, surpassing Beijing, Shanghai, and Chiang Mai. With 94% Mumbaikars saying their city brings them joy, the survey credits Bollywood, vibrant nightlife, and iconic foods like vada pav for Mumbai’s cheerful spirit—making it a symbol of optimism, diversity, and urban happiness in Asia.
