Jordan's King Abdullah II has appointed Jaffer Hassan as the new Prime Minister, replacing Bishar Khasawane.
Hassan has been directed to ensuring support for the Palestinians, strengthening democracy, and maintaining the economic stability of Jordan, especially in terms of mitigating the economic effects of the Gaza War and the decline in tourism.
