Kerala set a Guinness world record by kicking 4500 penalty shots within 12 hours under the 'Dream goal Penalty shootout' programme organized by the Kerala Sports Department at Manjeri Payyanad stadium.
The world record was achieved by Kerala through Malappuram district after breaking Germany's record of 2500 goals within 12 hours.
All the goals were kicked in between 0700 to 1900 hrs and the inaugural kick was taken by former Indian Footballer U Sharaf Ali and the 4500th kick was taken by Kerala Sports Minister V Abu Rahiman.
