  • Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed annually on July 26, commemorates the success of Operation Vijay in 1999.
  • Kargil Victory Day was observed with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Veerula Sainik Smarak, Secunderabad, to honor the bravery and sacrifice of the armed forces during ‘Operation Vijay’ and the Kargil War.
  • The ceremony included a wreath-laying by Major General Rakesh Manocha, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding, HQ Telangana & Andhra Sub Area, and featured military personnel in ceremonial dress paying homage to the fallen soldiers.
