  • Tennis player Janick Sinner has created history by winning the US Open 2024 title. 
  • He has become the first player in Italy to win the US Open Men's Singles Title. Janick Sinner defeated America's Taylor Fritz in straight sets in the final and won the title.
  • Sinner defeated Fritz 6-3, 6-4, and 7-5 in the match played at Arthur Ashe Stadium. 
  • This was Sinner's second Grand Slam this year, as he also won the Australian Open in 2024.
