Researchers at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, have developed a novel nanoparticle-based therapy that targets multiple mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease simultaneously. The approach uses EGCG-dopamine-tryptophan nanoparticles, enhanced with Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor, to reduce amyloid plaques, inflammation and neuronal damage. Published in Small, the findings show improved memory and learning in animal models, offering a promising multi-target strategy for Alzheimer’s treatment.
