India has signed a ₹7,995 crore follow-on support agreement with the US to ensure long-term sustainment of the Navy’s MH-60R Seahawk helicopters. The package covers spares, training, technical assistance and repair systems, while enabling in-country maintenance facilities that support India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat goals. Originally procured in 2020, the 24 multirole Seahawks boost anti-submarine warfare and maritime operations. The new deal strengthens naval readiness, enhances fleet availability and deepens India-US defence cooperation.
