Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid foundation stones of medical colleges in Dhar and Betul, marking India’s first medical institutions under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. Built in tribal-dominated districts, the colleges aim to improve healthcare access and address doctor shortages. The state provides land while private partners build infrastructure, with district hospitals upgraded under public oversight, reflecting a major step in expanding medical education and strengthening regional health systems.
