India and Liberia have signed a key Memorandum of Understanding in Monrovia to strengthen cooperation in pharmacopoeia and medicine quality standards. The agreement, signed by India’s Ambassador Manoj Bihari Verma and Liberia’s Health Minister Dr. Louise M. Kpoto, enables Liberia to adopt the Indian Pharmacopoeia for regulatory reference. The MoU aims to improve drug quality assessment, boost regulatory alignment, and expand access to safe and affordable medicines. The partnership enhances Liberia’s healthcare capacity while reinforcing India’s global role in pharmaceutical standard-setting.
