Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated India’s first commercial electric truck battery swapping-cum-charging station at Delhi International Cargo Terminal Private Limited (DICT) in Panchi Gujran village, Sonipat, Haryana. Developed by Energy in Motion, the facility is located on GT Road near Ganaur and allows electric truck batteries to be swapped within seven minutes, significantly reducing downtime and promoting cleaner logistics. Gadkari emphasized that such innovations will help cut fuel imports, curb pollution, lower logistics costs and boost biofuel adoption paving the way for sustainable, self-reliant transportation and a greener, developed India.
