  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the 13th edition of Exercise MILAN-2026 at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, marking one of the world’s largest multilateral naval exercises. The 2026 edition, with participation from 74 nations, is the most inclusive in its history and reflects global confidence in India’s maritime leadership.
  • Conducted under the Eastern Naval Command, the exercise promotes interoperability, professional exchanges, and coordinated drills among friendly navies. MILAN has evolved from a regional initiative into a major international platform, strengthening cooperative maritime security and India’s role as a trusted maritime partner.
