India and Oman have signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), marking a major expansion of bilateral trade and investment. Signed in Muscat in the presence of PM Narendra Modi, the pact grants zero-duty access to over 98% of Indian exports and liberalises 77.79% of Indian tariff lines for Omani imports. The agreement also opens key service sectors for investment, allows 100% FDI for Indian firms, and enhances mobility for Indian professionals, strengthening India–Gulf economic ties and strategic cooperation.
