The Global Firepower (GFP) Index 2025 has ranked the United States as the world’s most powerful military, followed by Russia, China, India, and South Korea. The index assesses over 60 parameters, including defense budgets, manpower, and technology. The US leads with an $860 billion defense budget and advanced systems like F-35 jets and nuclear submarines. Russia holds second place despite sanctions, while China’s rapid modernization secures third. India, ranked fourth, continues to strengthen its defense through initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat, Tejas Mk1A, and BrahMos missiles, reflecting global shifts in military power and modernization.
