The third edition of the Manohar Parrikar Yuva Scientist Award 2025 has been conferred on Dr. Sai Gautam Gopalakrishnan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. Recognized for his pioneering research in Computational Materials Science, Dr. Gautam was selected from 50 applicants after a rigorous evaluation process chaired by Dr. Anil Kakodkar. The award, instituted by the Goa Government, carries a cash prize of ₹5 lakh and a citation. It will be presented during the Manohar Parrikar Vigyan Mahotsav 2025 in December. The award aims to inspire youth toward scientific innovation and contribute to India’s technological growth.
