  • CRISIL has revised its forecast for India’s real gross domestic product (GDP) growth to 7 per cent for the current fiscal (2022-23) from 7.3 per cent estimated previously.
  • Consequently, CRISIL expects India’s GDP growth to slow to 6 per cent in fiscal 2024, down from the 6.5 per cent estimated previously.
  • The revised forecast for the current fiscal includes Q2GDP growth expectation of 6.5% against 13.5% in Q1, and just 4.5% GDP expansion in the second half.
