Baba Kalyani, Chairman and MD of Bharat Forge, has been awarded Indian of the Year 2025 in the Business category for his pivotal role in advancing India’s defence manufacturing and global industrial presence. Through Bharat Forge and its defence subsidiary, Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), he has led the production and export of indigenous artillery systems, strengthened private-sector participation, and enhanced India’s industrial capabilities.
