The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) organised a National Workshop on Project Mausam in New Delhi in November 2025, titled “Islands at the Crossroads of Maritime Networks within Indian Ocean Region”. The workshop gathered interdisciplinary inputs to finalise the Project Mausam Thematic Framework Document, outlining the project’s aims, objectives, scope, activities, and future roadmap. A fund of Rs. 30 lakh was sanctioned, with approximately Rs. 25.7 lakh spent. Project Mausam promotes transnational nominations, research, documentation, and capacity building among partner nations. The information was shared by Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Lok Sabha.
