  • The 128th meeting of the Enforcement Task Force (ETF) under the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) was convened to review measures for controlling air pollution in Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas. Established under the 2021 Act, CAQM coordinates with Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh to improve air quality. Its directions are legally binding.
  • The commission, chaired by a Secretary-level officer, includes experts from CPCB, ISRO, and NITI Aayog. The meeting focused on strengthening enforcement and coordinated action among states to tackle the transboundary pollution challenge.
