  • Squash star Saurav Ghosal made history by becoming the first Indian to win the Malaysian Open Championships after defeating Miguel Rodriguez in the men's singles final.
  • Sourav defeated the top seed Colombian 11-7, 11-8, 13-11 in the final. With this win, 35-year-old Sourav has become the first Indian to win the Malaysian Open title.
  • Malaysia's Aifa Azman, on the other side, has won the women's singles title at the 2021 Malaysian Open squash championships.
