सौरव घोषाल मलेशियाई ओपन जीतने वाले पहले भारतीय बने

स्क्वैश स्टार सौरव घोषाल ने पुरुष एकल फाइनल में मिगुएल रोड्रिगेज को हराकर मलेशियाई ओपन चैंपियनशिप जीतने वाले पहले भारतीय बनकर इतिहास रच दिया है।
सौरव ने फाइनल में शीर्ष वरीयता प्राप्त कोलंबिया के खिलाड़ी को 11-7, 11-8, 13-11 से हराया। इस जीत के साथ 35 वर्षीय सौरव मलेशियाई ओपन का खिताब जीतने वाले पहले भारतीय बन गए हैं।
दूसरी ओर, मलेशिया की आइफा अजमान ने 2021 मलेशियाई ओपन स्क्वैश चैंपियनशिप में महिला एकल खिताब जीता है।

मलेशियाई ओपन के बारे में

मलेशिया ओपन एक बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट है जो 1937 से प्रतिवर्ष आयोजित किया जाता है।
आयोजन का वार्षिक पैटर्न तीन बार बाधित हुआ: 1942 से 1946 तक द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के कारण, 1969 से 1982 तक, और 2020 में COVID-19 महामारी के कारण।
इसे अब मलेशिया सुपर सीरीज के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।
