World Toilet Day 2025

On World Toilet Day 2025, India highlighted its commitment to safe and sustainable sanitation under the theme “Sanitation: Collective Responsibility for Dignity and Planet.” Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched the “Toilet Paas Hai” and “Main Saaf Hi Achha Hoon” campaigns to promote responsible toilet use. Sulabh International and the World Toilet Organization began a 3-day World Toilet Summit with participation from 25 countries. Leaders emphasized India’s progress from ODF to ODF++, climate-resilient sanitation, aspirational public toilets, and innovations under SBM-U 2.0 to enhance urban hygiene and dignity.
