World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day was observed globally on 17 November 2025, marking the first official health day dedicated to eliminating a cancer, designated by the World Health Assembly. The 2025 theme, “Act Now: Eliminate Cervical Cancer,” calls for urgent progress toward WHO’s 90-70-90 targets—90% of girls vaccinated against HPV by age 15, 70% of women screened with a high-performance test by ages 35 and 45, and 90% of women with cervical disease receiving treatment. Landmarks worldwide lit up in teal, reinforcing the global movement to expand prevention and ensure equitable access to lifesaving care.
