The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved Jaipur Metro Phase-2, a 41 km North-South corridor from Prahladpura to Todi Mod with 36 stations, at a total cost of ₹13,037.66 crore. To be implemented by Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited, the project will connect key areas including Sitapura Industrial Area, VKIA, Jaipur Airport, and SMS Hospital.
Expected to boost daily ridership significantly, it will reduce traffic congestion, lower emissions, and enhance urban mobility in Jaipur, aligning with sustainable transport goals. Completion is targeted by September 2031.
