Honorable Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate India’s first indigenous quantum computing testing facility at SRM University Amaravati on April 14, 2026, coinciding with World Quantum Day. The facility at Medha Towers, Gannavaram, will also be launched virtually with a live demonstration of remote cooling of the Amaravati 1Q system processor.
Part of the ambitious Amaravati Quantum Valley, the project includes hosting an IBM 133-qubit quantum computer and collaboration with over 80 industry and academic partners, aiming to position Andhra Pradesh as a global quantum research hub.
