The Government of Nagaland and the British Council have officially designated the United Kingdom as a Country Partner for the Hornbill Festival 2025, set for December 1–10. The agreement signed in New Delhi by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and British Council India Director Alison Barrett MBE aims to boost cultural exchange, creative collaboration and global visibility for Naga heritage. As part of the partnership, Scottish musician Ruairidh Maclean (RuMac) will perform on December 2, continuing the British Council’s tradition of showcasing UK artists at the festival.
