TIME Magazine has chosen the “Architects of AI” as its Person of the Year for 2025, honouring the innovators who designed and accelerated modern artificial intelligence. TIME said AI’s full potential “roared into view” in 2025, reshaping industries, governance, global policy, and everyday life. The recognition highlights leaders such as Sam Altman, Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Lisa Su, Mark Zuckerberg, Demis Hassabis, Dario Amodei, and Fei-Fei Li, whose breakthroughs drove AI into mainstream adoption. The magazine noted that AI became unavoidable in 2025, influencing politics, creativity, and economies, with these pioneers shaping the future of thinking machines.
