The 61st Foundation Day of Nagaland is being celebrated in the year 2023.
Nagaland was formed on December 1, 1963.
At that time it became the 16th state of the Indian Union.
Hornbill Festival started at Naga Heritage Village Kisama today on the occasion of Nagaland Statehood Day celebrations.
Nagaland is located in the north-east of the country.
It is bordered by Arunachal Pradesh in the north, Assam in the west, Manipur in the south and Myanmar in the east.
Its capital is Kohima.
