Tata Trusts, the controlling entity of India’s largest business conglomerate, the Tata Group, has announced significant leadership changes in 2025. Neville Tata, son of chairman Noel Tata, has been appointed as a trustee of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, while senior Tata executive Bhaskar Bhat has also joined the Trusts’ board. These appointments come under the new Maharashtra Public Trusts Act regulations, which limit lifetime trustee positions. The move is expected to strengthen governance, transparency, and leadership succession within Tata Trusts, further empowering its contributions in health, education, and rural development sectors.
