Southern Railway has introduced India’s first coast-to-coast parcel express, connecting Tamil Nadu and Kerala with fast, cost-effective, and eco-friendly logistics. The weekly train, starting from Mangaluru Central on December 12, 2025, and reaching Royapuram (Chennai) the next day, carries a variety of goods including perishables, white goods, and industrial products. With 10 high-capacity parcel vans, dedicated coaches, and real-time monitoring, the service ensures timely delivery. The return journey departs Royapuram on December 16. This initiative modernizes freight logistics, promotes sustainability, and enhances connectivity between key business hubs.
