19-year-old Sheetal Devi from Jammu & Kashmir has been awarded ‘Para Archer of the Year 2025’ by World Archery.
She became the first armless female archer to win gold at the World Para Archery Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.
She achieved a historic feat by winning gold (individual), silver (team) and bronze (mixed team) in one championship.
She also won bronze at Paris Paralympics 2024 and silver medals at Asian Para Games and Championships.
Born without arms, she shoots using her feet and inspires millions with her determination.
The award recognizes her outstanding contribution to para-archery.
