  • The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Sanjay Khanna as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). He will serve till May 31, 2029. Previously Director (Refineries) and interim CMD, Khanna brings over 30 years of experience in refinery operations.
  • A chemical engineering graduate from NIT Tiruchirappalli, he has led modernization of Mumbai and Kochi refineries and the Propylene Derivative Petrochemical Project. BPCL plans ₹75,000 crore capex over the next five years under his leadership.
