Professor Sabyasachi Kar has been appointed as the Director of the Institute of Economic Growth (IEG), New Delhi, effective February 6, succeeding Professor Chetan Ghate.
An economist with a PhD from JNU, he currently serves as the RBI Chair Professor at IEG and is a member of Mospi’s Committee on Regional Accounts.
