The Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointment of Vinay Muralidhar Tonse as Managing Director and CEO of YES Bank for a three-year term, subject to shareholder approval. Tonse, currently an SBI Managing Director, will succeed Prashant Kumar, who led the bank’s post-2020 recovery phase. The move signals a leadership transition aimed at ensuring stability and long-term growth at the private lender.
