Two wetlands from Rajasthan—Khichan in Phalodi and Menar in Udaipur—have been added to the list of Ramsar sites, taking India’s total tally to 91. The Ramsar designation, which recognizes wetlands of international importance, will help in conservation efforts and in drawing global attention to these ecologically sensitive areas.
