  • Recently Railways has announced the launch of 'Gajraj System'.
  • This system will be started to prevent the death of elephants on the tracks.
  • Railways will install this system in Assam, West Bengal, Odisha, Kerala, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu.
  • It is in these states that elephants die the most due to trains.
  • This system will be installed over a length of 700 kilometers.
  • This system was implemented on a 150 km stretch in Assam last year and has proved quite beneficial.
