Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the South India Natural Farming Summit in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to showcase the organic farming practices propagated by the organic farmer late Nammalvar. Around 5,000 farmers attended, and 10 exemplary farmers were honored. The PM also released the 21st PM-KISAN installment of ₹18,000 crore for 9 crore farmers. Tamil Nadu, third in national agricultural production, contributes significantly to fruits, vegetables, spices, livestock, and plantation crops. The summit featured experts sharing strategies to boost productivity and exports in agriculture.
