  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has co-written a song with Grammy award-winning Indian-American singer Falu to highlight the benefits of coarse grains and their potential to reduce hunger in the world.
  • The title of the song is 'Abandons in Millets'.
  • Mumbai-born singer-songwriter Falguni Shah, better known by her stage name Falu, and her husband and singer Gaurav Shah have sung the song "Invasion of Millets".
  • The year 2023 has been designated as the 'International Year of Millets' as a resolution for this was brought by India and endorsed by members of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) governing bodies of the United Nations as well as the 75th session of the UN General Assembly.
  • Falu has received a Grammy Award for Best Children's Album in 2022 for his album A Colorful World.
