  • Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey of Urban Habitations (NAKSHA) (“NAKSHA” National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey of Urban Habitations) in 152 Urban Local Bodies across 26 States and 3 Union Territories at Raisen, Madhya Pradesh. 
  • The initiative aims to update urban land records using drone surveys, ensuring transparency and reducing land disputes.
  • The Survey of India will conduct aerial surveys, and Madhya Pradesh State Electronic Development Corporation (MPSEDC) will develop the web-GIS platform. 
  • The Government of India is funding ₹194 crore for this pilot program, supporting accurate land documentation and improved urban planning.
