  • Babar won the honour for the 3rd time in his career as the World No. 1 batter continued to dominate the 50-over format of the game.
  • Babar Azam was part of the 3-man shortlist for the award along with his teammate Shadab Khan and West Indies big-hitter Nicholas Pooran and he beat them both for the award.
