Odisha will introduce QR codes on land ownership documents to enable instant verification of property details, announced Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari. Each Record of Rights will provide digital access to ownership, parcel maps and full transaction history beyond the current 30-year limit.
The tamper-proof system aims to reduce fraud and improve transparency in property transactions. The reform is part of the Centre’s Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme, integrating GIS-based land data and modern survey technologies. The move marks the next phase of Odisha’s land record digitisation.
