Odisha CM Unveils Books by Veteran Leader Biswabhusan Harichandan

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched two books by former Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, celebrating his political and literary legacy. One book revisits the 1817 Paika Rebellion led by Bakshi Jagabandhu, while the other presents essays on history, democracy and Odia identity. The event honoured Harichandan’s long public life, including his role in Odisha politics and pro-democracy movements during the Emergency. The ceremony drew scholars and political leaders, marking a major cultural occasion in the state.
