NSO Launches AI-Ready MCP Server for eSankhyiki Portal

The National Statistics Office has launched a beta Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to make India’s official statistics more accessible and AI-compatible. The platform allows real-time dataset queries without downloading files, helping users integrate data directly into analytical tools. The beta version includes major datasets like PLFS, CPI, IIP and National Accounts. The move is expected to strengthen data-driven governance under the Viksit Bharat vision.
