National Unity Day 2025

National Unity Day, or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrated across India on 31 October 2025 to honour Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary. Instituted in 2014, the day commemorates Patel’s historic role in uniting over 560 princely states after independence, earning him the title Iron Man of India. This year’s theme, “Unity in Diversity,” highlights India’s strength in togetherness. Major events, including the Run for Unity, cultural programs and parades, will take place nationwide, with grand celebrations at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat.
