  • Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla announced the expansion of translation services in six new languages including Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Urdu, and Sanskrit in Parliament on February 11, 2025. 
  • This will now make translation available in a total of 16 languages, with a goal of including 22 official languages.
